Antigone is one of the most performed plays in the history of theatre. Based on the Greek myth, Sophocles wrote this masterpiece, which questions the extent to which the laws of man are superior to moral laws.

The plot revolves around Antigone, who defies the law to bring about the death of her brother Polynices, considered a traitor to her country.

Sophocles wrote it over 2000 years ago in Greece, the birthplace of democracy, and its first performance dates back to 441 BC. To this day, it is still considered one of the most important plays in universal drama.
