COMPETITION: Spring Festival Coín 2023
RULES OF THE COÍN 2023 SPRING FESTIVAL POSTER COMPETITION:
1. The objective of this Contest will be an original poster announcing the Spring Festival of Coín de Coín 2023.
2. All artists who wish may present themselves, without limitation as to the number of works and style, as long as they are original and unpublished. Therefore, the works already presented in other competitions will be rejected, as well as those that have been published, in whole or in part.
3. The reason for the poster will be allegorical to the fair and must contain some identifying sign of Coín. His style and technique will be free, although the result will be adequate to announce the parties that motivate the call.
4. The size of the poster will be 50 x 70 cm. In a vertical position and may be presented in paper or digital format. In case of presenting the work on paper or another printed format, it must be mounted on a panel or rigid background that allows its proper handling and full protection of the original. If it is digital, you will be obliged to supply the final art in JPG, TIFF or PDF format with a minimum quality of 300 dpi.
5. The poster must include the following inscription SPRING FESTIVITIES COÍN 2023. It may contain the City Council logo or, failing that, space to insert it, as well as the date of the fair. The works must go without signature.
6. When the poster is presented in person, it will have a sealed envelope attached to the back with a pseudonym with which its author participates, the title of the work, dimensions, technique used and support, name and surname, full address, email, will be indicated. contact telephone numbers, a photocopy of the DNI and a brief biographical and artistic history of the author. 7. If you participate in digital mode, you can send it to cultura@coin.es. An attached document will detail its author, the title of the work, dimensions, technique used and support, indicate the name and surname, full address, email, contact telephone numbers, photocopy of the DNI and a brief biographical and artistic history of the author.
8. A single prize of 300 euros will be awarded (including the currently applicable I.R.P.F. rate).
9. The submission and removal of the works submitted will be paid by the contestant, without any claim being made to this entity for possible loss or damage that may occur during transport or exhibition. The physical works will be delivered personally, through an agent, or by transport agencies with postage paid. All works must be sufficiently protected, with adequate and reusable packaging for their return.
10. An exhibition can be organized with the works presented (date to be determined). The exhibited works may not be withdrawn until the closing of the same. From this moment, a period of 2 months is established to proceed with its withdrawal. The fact of not withdrawing it within said period implies the assignment of the works by their authors and the City Council will dispose of them in the manner it deems appropriate.
11. The winning work will become the property of the City Council, which will acquire the full right to its use, reproduction and dissemination, without limitation of time.
12. The deadline for submitting posters is stipulated from January 25 to February 25.
13. A competent jury, made up of professionals within the cultural sphere of our city, will choose the winning poster for this contest. If deemed appropriate, the jury reserves the possibility of declaring the prize void.
14. The jury's decision will be final.
15. Any doubt or gap that may arise from the interpretation of the bases will be resolved in due course by the jury, which may declare the prize void.
16. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of these rules.
