Antonio María de la Concepción Reyna Manescau, was born in our city (Coín, Málaga, December 5, 1859 - Rome, February 3, 1937) and was known as "the painter of Venice", for having made numerous canvases with precious technique. . He is known worldwide for occupying the walls of important museums with his paintings such as the Thyssen in Malaga or the Boston Museum of Art, among others.

The Antonio Reyna Manescau Center is a project of the García Agüera Foundation and the Department of Culture in memory of the universal painter in his hometown, in the beautiful setting of the old Santa María de la Encarnació Convent.
