The Escuela Municipal de Música y Danza ‘Concejala Maribel Urbaneja Fernández’ in Coín is authorised to open and operate as a centre approved by the Junta de Andalucía in accordance with the Order of 7 October 2013 (Boja 226 of 18 November 2013), however its history goes back more than 30 years (it was founded in 1989). We teach basic music and dance, either in a formal way or as a workshop.

In the music department, we have a wide variety of instrumental specialities, such as piano, classical guitar, flamenco guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, drums and flamenco cajón.  We also teach the subjects of musical language, choral ensemble, instrumental ensemble, and music and movement through the teaching methodology ‘El Gran Nicolino’.

In the dance department, we teach music and movement, classical dance, Spanish dance and flamenco dance.

In addition to music and dance studies, every year the school organises a series of activities (concerts, shows, workshops, masterclasses...) that complement and enrich the students' learning and make the centre a lively and fun place for the whole community that is part of it.

It is located in the Buenos Aires housing development, in the old Carazony school.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 4.00 pm to 9.30 pm.
